A healthy and happy workforce makes good business sense.
A healthy and happy workforce makes good business sense. Supporting the wellbeing of your staff leads to increased productivity and retention and reduced sickness absence, presenteeism and recruitment costs.
Through Business Healthy, the City of London Corporation offers support to employers of all sizes in the Square Mile to improve the health and wellbeing of their workforce.
Business Healthy is a free membership network offering a wealth of online resources relating to wellbeing in the workplace, covering mental, physical, emotional, financial health and more. This includes access to free health and wellbeing services, too.
Members can access free masterclasses, initiatives and expert-led workshops throughout the year, which also offer opportunities to network with other HR leads across the City of London, to share ideas and best practice.
Business Healthy is currently conducting research into the health needs and wellbeing status of City workers, which will help to shape local services. As part of this, it is speaking to those responsible for HR within Square Mile businesses, to find out the health and wellbeing priorities of their organisations.
If you have HR responsibilities, please spare two minutes to complete the very short survey and you could be in with a chance to win a luxury hamper.
The next masterclass will focus on “Smashing the stigma: addressing addiction and substance misuse at work” and will provide HR leads in the City with insights into the slippery slope from recreational to problematic drug and alcohol use and how to spot early signs that there may be an issue.
This free event will be taking place on 27 September. To find out more and to register a place, please visit Eventbrite.
