As well as losing out on income as a result of closing and their staff needing to self-isolate, the business also had to undertake an extensive deep-clean of the premises before it could reopen.

Twice-weekly rapid COVID-19 testing of staff can help to avoid situations like this.

Rapid COVID-19 tests are free and available to everyone in England without symptoms of COVID-19.

One in three people with COVID-19 don’t show any symptoms and could be spreading the virus without knowing.

Alongside other infection prevention control measures, such as the wearing of face coverings, maintaining distance, ventilating spaces, and using NHS QR codes to check in, rapid testing is a valuable tool to stopping the transmission of COVID-19.
